6 Self-Care Tips for Hustling Entrepreneurs - Laurie Abner

www.innerbody.com/do-you-really-need-a-full-nights-sleep#top-10-health-benefits-of-good-sleepEntrepreneurs are born with a strong work ethic and a desire to hustle. These are admirable qualities, but unfortunately, they often leave little time for self-care. These tips from Basic Counseling Skills can help you support your hustle and your mental and physical health simultaneously.

1. Prioritize Sleep

Sleep is often the first thing to go when you're busy making career moves. However, lack of sleep could be the one thing stopping you from reaching your goals. Research shows that getting enough sleep can improve your memory and help with creativity. Start by organizing your schedule and adhering to it as rigidly as possible. Remind yourself to stay on track because the meeting with your bed is just as important as a meeting with an investor. To be your best, you should be well-rested.

2. Start Your Day With Meditation

Starting your day with mediation allows you to begin with intention. Designate an area in your home with no distractions. It could be a corner in the spare bedroom or a space on the back porch. Go there every morning before you start your day and take at least five minutes of meditation to start. You can build on that over time.

3. Exercise and Eat Well

Taking care of your physical health is a great form of self-care. This can mean signing up for a gym membership or just going for a walk everything to clear your mind and burn calories. Be mindful of what you eat as well. For example, processed foods can make you feel sluggish and cause anxiety. Stick to nutrient-dense options, such as fruits, vegetables, and lean meats.

4. Make Wise Investments in your Business

Hire staff to handle the tedious daily tasks so you can focus on things that make your business grow. For example, you'll finally have the time for LLC registration and take advantage of all the benefits. You don't have to pay the hefty lawyer fees to get it done. Just go online and use a formation service. You should get all the information on your state's regulations.

Besides staff, another sound investment for growing your business is in digital marketing. Social media sites like Facebook are great places to buy advertising, and a Facebook ad template tool makes it easy to create high-quality ads in minutes. After choosing a template you like, you can customize it with images, color, and text to your liking. Once complete, simply download it to use.

5. Be Mindful of Your Mental Health

When you start to feel anxious, reach out to a mental health expert. You can access services online through a more convenient process. Plus, you typically have more affordable options with access to more specialists. You'll save time on traveling, and you can even shop for the right therapist by searching for those that offer a complimentary consultation. Don't underestimate the benefits of the occasional retail therapy either.

6. Find a Day Job With Flexibility

If you're currently nurturing a side hustle, find a day job that offers more flexibility, such as working remotely or a shorter work week. Beef up your resume by updating it with new skills and experiences.

It's best to send your resume as a PDF. Therefore, access an online conversion tool that allows you to convert to a Word document for editing and back to a PDF to send it out. All you need to do is upload the PDF, convert it to Word, and start making edits. Then save it as a PDF and send it.

If you're new to the side hustle world, you'll find it overwhelming at times. The best way to push through when it becomes too much is to give yourself a break. The tips above are all about finding that downtown and using it to take care of yourself.
